A spray tan is only as good as the prep & aftercare

Think of your skin as the canvas for your spray tan. Proper preparation ensures the solution develops evenly by clearing away dead skin cells and balancing your skin's pH, preventing streaks or patchiness. Meanwhile, intentional aftercare locks in hydration and protects the outer skin layer, keeping your glow fresh, radiant, and fading smoothly for up to a week or more.

The Spray Tan Checklist

Prep:

• 24 Hours Before: Exfoliate thoroughly and finish all shaving or waxing. If you are getting a manicure and/or pedicure, do so at least a day before your tan.

• Day Of: Arrive with completely bare skin. No lotion, oil, deodorant, makeup, or perfume.

• What to Wear: Loose, dark clothing and slip-on shoes.

Aftercare:

• The First Rinse: Shower at your recommended time using lukewarm water only (no soap). Rinse until water runs clear, then gently pat dry (never rub).

• Daily Hydration: Moisturize morning and night with an alcohol-free lotion.

• To Maintain: Avoid long baths, chlorine pools, and harsh scrubs to prevent premature fading.
